April 2020 – A group of young men from Brown’s Town St. Ann, used the COVID-19 pandemic as an opportunity to create the St. Ann Quarantine Cook-off. The event took place online, via Facebook, seeing all nine contestants competing to make sumptuous dishes via videos and photos. Gas Pro saw this as an opportunity, to come on board as sponsors of the event. Each contestant was provided with branded aprons and chef hats, and the winners of each competition (held on Sundays) was awarded a free gas refill!
Added to that, the organizers of the Cook-off also gave out care packages to the less fortunate in the Brown’s Town & Claremont communities, and Gas Pro assisted with branded tote bags and cooking oil for the team to execute.
The Cook-off attracted thousands of followers each Sunday and helped to inspire many to cook at home and showcase their dishes online.
